Many of the judges and commissioners interview potential judicial law clerks in the winter or early spring, so the Court advises applicants to submit their application packages as early as feasible. For more specific information about a judge's or commissioner's application deadline, please contact that judge's or commissioner's chambers by calling (253) 593-2970. To apply for a judicial clerkship with one of the judges, you must mail the following to each judge to whom you are applying:
To apply for a judicial clerkship with the commissioners, you must mail the above documents to Commissioners, 950 Broadway, Suite 300, Tacoma, Washington, 98402, or e-mail the above documents to DivisionIICommissioners@courts.wa.gov. Scanned copies of unofficial transcripts are acceptable. Division II of the Court of Appeals also provides externships for law students. For more information click here.
