Revision & Reorganization of Disciplinary Regulation 500

Published for Comment:

The Certified Professional Guardian Board (Board) is significantly revising and reorganizing Disciplinary Regulation 500, which documents the Board’s process to review grievances, alleged violations of statutes, fiduciary duties, standards of practice, rules, and regulations. The regulation review, revision and reorganization should result in a clearer, more comprehensive regulation. The Board is proceeding incrementally and plans to release the regulation in a minimum of two parts. The initial review of Part I was completed and approved for public comment June 10, 2013 with a comment period expiring on July 26, 2013.

The Board will continue its discussion and consideration of the following regulation during its meeting on October 14, 2013, 9 am, at the SeaTac Office Facility, 18000 International Blvd., Suite 1106, SeaTac, WA. Comments received by COB October 4 will be provided to board members.

Significant revision, reorganization and renumbering, has made correlating old and new paragraphs impossible. Although language that is being added or changed significantly is underlined, language not underlined has likely been moved from another section of the regulation or copied from GR 23. You are encouraged to proceed as though this were a new regulation.
