Chapter 10.14 RCW

UH-01.0400 Law Enforcement Information Sheet

At the end of the form, after the phrase "DO NOT SERVE OR SHOW THIS SHEET TO THE PERSON RESTRAINED/RESPONDENT," the following advisement was inserted: "COURT CLERKS: GIVE THIS FORM TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. DO NOT FILE IN THE COURT FILE. "

UH-02.0200 Petition For An Order For Protection

The second check box option in paragraph 2 was changed from:

"I am the parent or guardian of a child under age 18, _____(child's name) and seek to restrain a person over age 18 from contact with my child because contact is detrimental to the child, as described in the statement below."

To:

"I am the parent or guardian of child(ren) under age 18 and seek to restrain a person 18 or over from contact with my child(ren) because contact is detrimental, as described in the statement below."

The title of paragraph 6 was changed from "minors addressed in this petition," to "identification of minors."

The title of paragraph 7 was changed from "other court cases or any other protection order or no-contact order involving me and the respondent are," to "other court cases or any other protection, restraining or no-contact orders involving me, the minors and the respondent."

In the first and second restraint provisions, "minors named in paragraphs 2 or 6 above," was changed to "minors named in paragraph 6 above."

In the fourth restraint provision, "place of employment" was changed to "workplace."
In the "Unlawful harassment" definition box, on the fifth line, "a person over age 18" was changed to "a person 18 years of age or over."
In the "Unlawful harassment" definition box, pursuant to RCW 10.14.020(2), as amended by Chapter 27, Laws 99, the following sentence was inserted after the sentence ending with "continuity of purpose" and before the last sentence:

"Course of Conduct" includes, in addition to any other form of communication, contact, or conduct, the sending of an electronic communication.
