| What is the Business Problem or Opportunity |
The Department of Licensing (DOL) has a new Abstract of Driving Record (ADR) available through their web-based application, IHPS.  The new abstract contains more information than is currently available in the ADR viewable in the Judicial Access Browser System (JABS).  It is also designed to be more easily readable and user-friendly. This request is to display the new ADR in JABS, including all of the new information available in IHPS, and in the easier-to-read format.
| Expected Benefit: |
Many judicial officers utilize JABS exclusively for information about each and every defendant who appears before them. This includes accessing the ADR for all traffic-related cases. Traffic calendars are among the busiest, so speed in accessing data is paramount. Judges routinely click back and forth from dockets to the Defendant Case History (DCH) and DOL records in mere seconds. Although the new ADR is available in DOL's IHPS system, a judge has to sign on to and keep open a separate application. When accessing individual ADRs under IHPS the user has to input the driver's name or license number each time he/she seeks to access a different driver's data. This is not required under the JABS application, which is precisely what makes JABS so valuable. The ability to access the new ADR in JABS will save significant labor and time for judges.
