ADOPTION/PARENTAGE CAUSE-OF-ACTION CASELOAD STATISTICS

All adoption/parentage caseload statistics are categorized by their cause of action into seven "parent/child relationship" cause-of-action reporting categories, with an additional reporting category for confidential name changes for victims of domestic violence. The classifying cause of action should be indicated on the case information cover sheet accompanying the filing of the petition or complaint. Only petitions filed pursuant to Title 26 of the Revised Code Of Washington should appear in this case type. These cause-of-action reporting categories are defined below with the applicable SCOMIS codes within parentheses.
