The Washington State SurveyThe objectives and methodology of the Washington State Survey are patterned after the national study. The questionnaire was duplicated from the national survey with a few added questions. The sample of 500 adults randomly selected represents the statewide population.In addition, augmented samples of 150 each for Hispanics, African-Americans and Asians were included within the study framework. The survey was completed in June, 1999.
