Earned release study.

The Washington state institute for public policy shall study the results of the changes in earned release under section 1, chapter 379, Laws of 2003. The study shall determine whether the changes in earned release affect the rate of recidivism or the type of offenses committed by persons whose release dates were affected by the changes in chapter 379, Laws of 2003. The Washington state institute for public policy shall report its findings to the governor and the appropriate committees of the legislature no later than December 1, 2008.” [2003 c 379 § 12.]
