Therapeutic Courts
WSCCR is a part of the emerging AOC support program for therapeutic courts. We have been asked to conduct a data improvement project for adult drug courts. The data improvement project will allow the AOC to gain knowledge about how therapeutic courts operate and establish contacts with each local court. The AOC is working towards providing capacity for supporting quality assurance through evaluations for performance management.
Adult Drug Court Data Improvement Project
- Create a statewide database of cases processed in the state's adult drug courts. The database will have basic data about each case including its status and when major events occurred (e.g., referral to drug court, commencement of the client's participation, end of client's participation - graduation, termination, withdrawal, etc.).
- Update the database each year with data collected from the local courts.
- Work with the local courts to improve the availability and quality of their data.
- Provide annual statewide reporting on caseloads and case outcomes.
