1 Standards adopted by the Board for Judicial Administration recommend that 90 percent of all civil cases should be adjudicated within 12 months of the date of filing of the information, 98 percent within 18 months of filing, and 100 percent within 24 months. The figures under this heading reflect the actual percentages of these cases resolved within 12, 18 and 24 months.
2 These figures include "other matters filed with the clerk." Appeals from lower courts are not included in this table.
3 Lower numbers suggest proportionately smaller backlogs of pending cases.
4 Time-in-process figures do not include the time cases are placed in suspended status. A case is said to be in suspended status if it is out on warrant, in mediation, stayed, in arbitration, on appeal, on post-filing diversion, or has been continued for prosecution or placed on deferred prosecution.
