Certificates of Good Standing

Certificates of good standing for attorneys in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association are issued by the Clerk of the Supreme Court. The fee for each certificate is $5.00. Certificates are usually processed the same day that we receive the request and payment.

Request a Certificate and Make Payment

A Certificate of Good Standing may be requested and paid for by visiting our online payment center here.

A request may also be made by mail. Please include with your request the name of the attorney, the attorney's WSBA number, the number of certificates requested and $5.00 for each certificate requested. To pay by check or money order, please make the check payable the Washington State Supreme Court and send to our mailing address below.

Mailing Certificates

We usually process and send certificates of good standing on the same day that requests are received. If we receive the request late in the day, we will send the certificate on the next business day. Certificates are sent as PDFs via email, unless hard copies are requested. Hard copy certificates are sent via 1st class USPS, or you can send a pre-paid mailing label for us to use. Certificates are mailed to the address listed for the attorney with the Washington State Bar Association unless you request mailing to a different address.
