FILING FEE: The filing fee is $250, except for a petition for review (review of a court of appeals decision terminating review) which is $200. Please note that the legislature authorized the county clerk to collect a surcharge of $30 for appellate review. The surcharge is effective until July 1, 2013. Therefore, the filing fee for a notice of appeal or notice for discretionary review filed in the trial court between July 1, 2009, and July 1, 2013, is $280. See RCW 36.18.018(4).
MOTIONS: It is not necessary to call and get a date for a hearing on a motion, pursuant to RAP 17.4(a). Just file your motion along with proof of service and you will be notified of the hearing date.
OPINIONS: Opinions are filed each Thursday at 8:00 a.m. They can usually be found on the court's home page by 8:30 a.m. at http://www.courts.wa.gov/opinions/. Counsel and or the parties are e-mailed a copy of the opinion the day it is filed at no charge. If there is no viable e-mail address, the opinion is then mailed to the address on record. We provide copies of opinions to anyone else for 60 cents a page. We will fax a copy of the opinion for $3 for the first page and $2 for each page thereafter.
COSTS: The allowable per page amount is $2.00 for original documents. RAP 14.3(a)(3).
