Court User Work Group (CUWG)

The formation of a Court User Work Group (CUWG) was authorized by the Judicial Information System Committee (JISC) on June 22, 2012 as a critical component to successfully implement a new superior court case management system in Washington. The CUWG includes representatives from the Superior Court Judges Association (SCJA), the Washington State Association of County Clerks (WSACC), the Association of Washington Superior Court Administrators (AWSCA), Washington Association of Juvenile Court Administrators (WAJCA), District and Municipal Court Management Association (DMCMA), the Access to Justice Board (ATJ), the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC).

The CUWG provides subject matter expertise to, and decision making on, court business processes, ensuring processes and requirements are complete and accurate. The CUWG will also provide insight on potential impacts, opportunities, and constraints associated with the transition to the new system.

CUWG members advocate for agreed-upon process changes, innovation, and standardization. They communicate these decisions to their staff, colleagues, associations, and co-workers.
