Title 11 Guardian ad Litem and Court Visitor
Grievance Procedure
If a party has a complaint about a guardian ad litem (GAL), the party may file a grievance in superior court. Generally, if the case is still
active, the party may file a motion to bring the grievance to the court's attention. If the case has been completed, the written grievance is
addressed to the GAL Program Manager or Court Administrator. Often it is a good idea to discuss concerns with the GAL as they arise, before they
become difficult to resolve.
Grievance procedures vary by county and are usually included in the superior court local rules.

rules do not yet include GAL grievance procedures, contact that court's GAL Program Manager for information on how to file a grievance.
