Court Services Division

The Court Services Division (CSD) facilitates the analysis and implementation of law, policies, rules, best practices and technology, as well as education and training of judicial officers and court personnel, so that Washington courts can administer justice fairly, openly, and efficiently.

Court Business Office

The Court Business Office works to provide business and systems analysis, case management system support, court data analysis, and customer support to the AOC, Superior Courts, County Clerks, and the Courts of Limited Jurisdiction. CBO staff works closely with court users, vendors, and fellow AOC staff to configure systems, communicate opportunities, resolve process and system function issues, assure data integrity, and focus on process improvements.

Court Business and Technology Integration

The Office of Court Business and Technology Integration works to support the business needs of the courts through technology resources, systems training, and expert analysis. As the bridge between court business and technology needs, staff strive to improve processes and help ease the transition to new technology. The office is also responsible for developing and maintaining multiple public and internal websites including numerous web-based applications.

Court Education Services

Court Education Services develops education and training programs for judicial officers, county clerks, court administrators, and staff at all court levels. The purpose of the section is to improve the quality of justice in Washington by fostering excellence in the courts through effective education.

Legal Services and Appellate Court Support

The Office of Legal Services and Appellate Court Support provides legal analysis for the Administrative Office of the Courts and all levels of Washington courts. Staff also help develop statewide pattern forms and pattern jury instructions, coordinate local court rules, produce benchbooks and manuals, and support a number of committees, such as the Ethics Advisory Committee, the Supreme Court Rules Committee, and trial court association committees.
